Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Perform and support task and project management functions, including the planning and execution of investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and financial oversight, adherence to schedules and quality standards, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Perform and manage contaminated site assessments, remedy evaluation, including preparing investigation work plans, design analysis and implementation of feasibility studies, treatability studies, removal action work plans, remedy design, and remedy implementation.
  • Prepare remediation action plans for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation projects, including drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and technical specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, correspondence, memoranda, plans, and proposals.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform fieldwork such as multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor supervision, and operation, maintenance, and construction of remediation systems.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or a related subject. (required)
  • Advanced degree in engineering. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain within two years. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation. (required)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
  • Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position.

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum Salary: $93,875/year / Maximum Salary: $122,040/year (Seattle)
