Are you a detail-oriented environmental professional ready to make a meaningful impact? Fishbeck is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer or Hydrogeologist to support investigation and remediation projects across Michigan. You'll work closely with clients and regulators to design and implement solutions for contaminated sites, helping navigate complex environmental regulations with creativity and precision.
What You'll Work On
- Understand client needs and analyze constraints in schedule, scope, and budget to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Develop work plans, Data Quality Objectives, and sampling and analysis plans.
- Plan and coordinate field activities for environmental investigations.
- Design and interpret site investigations of contaminated media (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, indoor air, sediment).
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates.
- Design and implement ex-situ and in-situ remedial actions.
- Develop vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
- Oversee performance monitoring and operation & maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, proposals, and client communications.
- Ensure safe implementation of all work activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
- Experience with environmental investigation and remediation projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and regulators.
- Excellent technical writing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and conduct field work.
