Software Engineer III

What are important things that YOU need to know about this role?

• Tech Stack: Expertise in SQL is required along with a full-stack tech background and candidates with experience with Rest APIs will be preferred
• Remote: This position is eligible to be fully remote
• Assessment: Candidates must take and pass an online assessment to be fully considered for this opportunity. It will be sent prior to any interviews

What will YOU be doing for us? To design, develop and maintain software applications of varying complexities and on varying tech stacks - in the healthcare space.

What will YOU be working on every day?

• Assist level 4 and lead engineers to develop, modify and maintain software applications for internal and external client use. Provide first level support on common operational concerns
• Work collaboratively with internal resources to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements for new systems.
• Maintain current modules, applications or processes in production.
• Actively participate on an Agile scrum team, sizing work efforts and decomposing functionality and iteratively delivering value.
• Unit test development
• Triage production issues and affect solutions
• Code spelunking
• Conduct impact analysis for required changes
• Investigate technologies and research for solutions related to architecture and requirements
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various sub systems or client communications when system capabilities must be understood.
• Assist in establishing feature estimates and timelines.
• Perform software design and coding according to SKYGEN and accepted secure coding patterns
• Work collaboratively with internal team members on investigating and fixing defects
• Assist in resolving more complex and escalated operational support as necessary.
• Mentor Software engineers

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be GOOD candidate?

• Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience or equivalent certification. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field highly preferred.
• Typically 5 to 7 years of experience in software development
• Knowledge of software design and development techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to others
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and communication styles
• Strong problem solving skills
• Knowledge and proficiency in various technical areas:
• Object Oriented Design
• ASP.NET Web Form Development
• ASP.NET MVC Development
• .Net Core
• API (RESTFul) development
• C#
• Angular
• JavaScript
• Secure coding patterns
• Visual Studio
• SQL Server or any Relational DB

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be a GREAT candidate?

The salary range and midpoint is listed below for your reference. Please keep in mind that your education and experience along with your knowledge, skills and abilities are taken into consideration when determining placement within the range.

Compensation Range: $114,838.00 - $172,258.00

Compensation Midpoint: $143,548.00
