ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Assist fabricators with the cutting, grinding, welding, and assembly of metal fencing components.
• Prepare materials and tools for daily production, including loading/unloading supplies and organizing inventory.
• Operate basic power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment under supervision.
• Perform quality checks to ensure fabricated items meet company specifications and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the shop and storage areas.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE while working.
• Support inventory counts, shipping/receiving tasks, and material handling as needed.
• Help load finished products for delivery or site installation.

Ability Requirements

• Performing physical activities that require use of arms legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing , walking, stooping and handling materials
  * Lift arms above shoulders for moving and lifting light to heavy objects
  * Must have good hand-eye coordination and quick reaction time.
  * Adequate sight and hearing to perform duties safely
  * Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
  * Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
  * Learn job related functions through oral communication and observation with on-the-job training
  * Must be able to wear hard hat, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective equipment while being alert and looking out for personal safety and safety of others
  * Maintain a positive attitude, work cooperatively with others, arrive at determined site location on time and have regular communication with supervisor about scheduling

Preferred Skills

• Prior construction experience
  * Welding experience
  * Equipment operating experience

Wage Range: Dependent on skill and experience

$18-$20 Per Hour

Performance Expectations

• Cooperation with supervisor and co-workers on job site, i.e., mutual respect and teamwork
  * Absences and Tardiness: Be on time or early prepared for work. If you will be more than five minutes late call supervisor. Call supervisor if you are unable to attend work prior to scheduled meeting time and arrange scheduled time off as early as possible or at least one week in advance.
  * Work Attire: Wear appropriate attire, i.e., work boots, gloves, pants and other job specific personal protective equipment, eye protection, hard hat, safety vest etc. Be prepared for outdoor elements.
