Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the department Director, the Infusion Therapy Charge Nurse acts as a member of the Infusion Therapy/Vascular Access Department Leadership Team.
  • The IVT Charge Nurse serves in a leadership role to aid in the management and training of staff
  • Assist with the organization of day-to-day activities of the department
  • Assuring that the staff are functioning appropriately and within the scope of their job role
  • Utilizing coaching methods or disciplinary action when necessary to meet the care and safety needs of those that we serve
  • Assists with patient care issues, referring any unusual situation or patient condition to the Director or Medical Director
  • Promoting consistency in the delivery of patient care between physicians and staff
  • Additional responsibilities include administrative duties such as project improvement projects, staff meetings, staff schedule creation, P&P reviews, as well as assisting with quality reviews and metrics. These duties will be in addition to regular floor shifts.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Idaho.
  • 3-5 years Infusion Therapy Experience
  • Current BLS certification- must be obtained within 14 days of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • VA-BC and/or CRNI certifications
