Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Dallas, TX. In this role you will conduct mid-level assignments for the departmental planning and scheduling movements of products with close and frequent supervision.

Job Duties

  • Provides crisis management for situations involving conflicts arising out of short-term or long-term refinery/logistical problems causing product throughput shortages, refinery cutbacks, customer complaints, etc.
  • Schedules and coordinates monthly/daily product movement(s) on assigned transportation carriers and into the assigned refinery and at all trading points, including bulk and lease purchasing.
  • Updates rail car movements, including tracing railcars, scheduling necessary maintenance, and storage and release of rail cars as needed.
  • Processes invoices, including monthly transportation invoices and rail invoices as needed.
  • Coordinate with the logistics distribution coordinator to address excess supplier or customer cars and possibly assist in preparing detention bills for the marketer to present to the supplier or customer.
  • Monitors assigned product inventories which may include daily monitoring of product movements, inventory positions and communicating with appropriate departments, and optimizing assigned product inventories.
  • Works with appropriate refinery personnel at the assigned refinery to manage tank levels outside and inside the Refinery.
  • Enters product scheduling, nominates appropriate transportation carrier, and enters volumes into assigned system.
  • Works with third-party pipeline companies and/or carriers on tariffs, expansion, or other policy matters that affect HF Sinclair as it relates to the assigned product inventory.
  • Works with other departments to facilitate timely product movements and timely invoicing.
  • Manages and maintains good working relationships with customers, exchange partners, suppliers, and/or third-party personnel, working with traders, and schedulers to maximize product movements and values for the Company depending on assigned product inventory.
  • Maintain good working relationships with the transportation carriers, customers, and/or trading partners
  • Maintains positive and productive working relationships within the department and with other departments.
  • Maintains close communication with the Manager and other key personnel, keeping them informed of conditions, activities, and trends in areas of responsibility that may have an impact on the business and work closely with the Manager to capture market values.
  • Represents the company at industry scheduling functions.
  • Assists in analysis, investigation, and research supporting the needs of the organization's financial planning.
  • Communicate with a logistic distribution coordinator who is tracking all scheduled/planned volumes through receipt/delivery and invoicing.
  • Produce daily inventory position reports.



MAY ALSO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES INCLUDING:



  • Ensures accuracy of all invoices and cumulative balance are kept at a minimum.
  • Liaises with other departments such as Refinery, Credit, Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Tax, and Data. Integrity to ensure assigned customers receive excellent customer service.
  • Handles all aspects of issue resolution and facilities clearing month-end errors.



Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience

A minimum of 5 years of job-related and industry experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, in a technical or related field, or equivalent work experience instead of a degree, is required.

Required Skills

Ability to perform a variety of assignments as they relate to the marketing department and multi-task. Basic to intermediate computer skills particularly in MS Excel to provide written reports and spreadsheets as well as the ability to learn new programs. Intermediate reading and writing skills; ability to perform intermediate-level mathematical calculations.



PREFERRED SKILLS:


ECC functional/end-user experience preferred. SAP SD/MM, TSW knowledge is preferred.

Work Conditions

Office-based with up to 30% travel by land and air required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
