Senior Shift Manager Operations

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an open opportunity for a Senior Shift Manager Operations at our Dearborn Works location. This position will be supporting our Plant Services organization. The ideal Senior Shift Manager Operationswill be able to direct a shift of employees while adhering to the company's key values of Safety, Quality, Production, and Innovation.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans
• Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production, safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules and practices
• Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments, assists in developing continuous improvement plans
• Monitors site's operation, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards and performs regular audits
• Leads employees' training and performance review programs. Improves overall production, processes and services efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Production supervisory experience within a heavy industrial environment required.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communications skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, related field or equivalent experience required.
• Experience managing in a union environment and/or in heavy industry preferred.
