Job Details:

Purpose

The Clinical Outcomes and Quality Data RN Specialist II is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting clinical outcomes and quality metrics within the healthcare system. This role involves collecting and reviewing clinical data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Patient Outcomes, this position collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, clinical partners and administrative staff to ensure compliance with registry and national benchmarking standards to support optimization in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Collect, enter and review clinical data from medical records and databases.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on clinical outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

Education and Training

  • Educate healthcare staff on national benchmarking, principles and best practices.
  • Develop educational materials and resources for staff as needed.
  • Present at workshops and seminars on clinical outcomes and quality metrics.
  • Provide requested data to staff for quality improvement efforts is partnership with the clinical teams
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings/conferences hosted by the national registry organization

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to inform clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide updates on quality metrics and improvement initiatives

Quality Improvement Initiatives

  • Develop and implement quality improvement programs.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices.
  • Identify and prioritize areas for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to implement evidence-based best practices.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to registry standards.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain data governance compliance.
  • Report any compliance issues to senior management.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience with a focus on quality improvement.

Relevant education or experience may be substituted as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Clinical Informatics.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Nursing Informatics Certification
  • 5 years of experience in clinical outcomes and quality data management.
Salary Range

$82,000 + depending on qualifications
