Position Summary
As a Brand Marketing Associate, you will develop strategy (<18 months) and execute annual commercialization plans to deliver profitable growth and key near-term operations for assigned brands. You'll leverage actionable insights to drive optimization, identify innovation, lead communications, and unlock consumer & customer value. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance) is essential for executional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Consumer & Customer Intimacy
- Deeply understand consumer demographics, psychographics, occasions, and behavioral drivers through data and research
- Validate or develop consumer insights to drive relevant communications
- Analyze data and synthesize learnings into actionable insights
- Transform data and trends into marketing innovation, brand building, and retail programs
Business Planning
- Own P&L to meet key business KPIs: revenue, profit, market share, brand health
- Lead monthly operating process for business performance and accurate forecasting
- Track sales, consumption, and trends to identify gaps/opportunities
- Manage consumer marketing budget efficiently
- Develop strategic revenue management strategies (pricing, promo, price pack architecture)
- Support manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, and procurement strategies
- Chart category/brand course using data-driven decision-making
- Explore new approaches to brand innovation, including licensing and partnerships
Brand and Product Experience
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop marketing strategies
- Identify optimal engagement strategies and campaign structures
- Ensure cultural relevance of brand identity and activations
- Activate nutrition, health, and wellness propositions in communications
- Drive continuous growth from demand generation dollars
Commercial Excellence
- Partner with Sales and Customers to execute strategy in omni-channel environments
- Analyze and optimize promotional programs
- Support packaging changes due to product, graphic, or formula updates
- Translate strategic plans into annual commercial plans for retailer channels
- Lead development and execution of annual marketing plans (product, price, place, promotion)

Qualifications
- University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred
- Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures
- Strong negotiation, relationship building, and strategic analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to change
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic financial acumen and risk/return analysis
- Ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Critical Experiences
- 3-5 years in marketing or brand management
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or agency partners
- Experience with marketing communication projects (digital/media strategies)
- Experience leveraging data, research, and trends to understand consumer behavior (IRI or Nielsen knowledge recommended)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
