Position Summary:


The Customer Account Manager negotiates and administers a variety of sales contracts using independent discretion and judgment: prepares quotes and orders for customers, responds to customer inquired in a timely and efficient manner, and manages information necessary for processing customer orders.



Responsibilities:



  • As the Customer Account Manager you will negotiate contracts with customers regarding price, delivery schedule and terms and conditions, ensuring that terms are acceptable to management. Negotiates changes or modifications to contract when requested by customer.
  • Interpret and respond to customer and Field Representatives questions or requests for information. Design proposals and quotes and reports status. Resolve customer issues appropriately and refers issues to supervision when necessary.
  • Maintain relationship with accounts, communicates activities, provides reports to customers and department. Handle customer inquiries and complaints. Solve problems that arise in the performance of the contract.
  • Research historical data, cost substantiation and market analysis to determine price. Prepare documents for quotes, orders, changes, letters, spreadsheets, presentations and reports.
  • Coordinate customer / field sales efforts with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Contract Review departments.
  • Provide reports to management, indicating pending and overdue orders.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes and procedures. Contribute to 5 S programs in work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Accomplish related results as needed.



Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related degree.


Experience:



  • 1 year of experience in Manufacturing / Marketing / Sales /Customer Service/ Customer Support environment.
  • Aerospace industry environment is preferred.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong critical/analytical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to solve problems effectively
  • Strong communication (speaking, listening, questioning) with ability to influence and negotiate, while maintaining a strong customer service mindset.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products (outlook, word, excel) and ability to understand and work with a Sales or ERP system.
  • Strong organizational, and attention to details skills with the ability to manage your time effective for strong results.
  • Effective collaborative skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization.



Physical Requirements:



  • Frequent mental and visual attention for computer and administrative function tasks
  • Frequent sitting at a computer workstation and grasping a mouse
  • Occasional bending and twisting
