About the Opportunity:

As an Engineering Technician I, you will play an active role in aerospace manufacturing by creating and updating process documentation, performing CAD work to support process development, evaluation, and tooling activities, and developing CNC programs. You will work hands-on in a continuous improvement culture that values rapid experimentation, learning, and iteration to drive better processes and outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals early in their technical careers and provides a strong foundation for professional growth and future advancement into more technical and engineering-focused positions.

Location: Eastford, CT

Responsibilities:

  • Work hands-on in a continuous improvement culture focused on rapid experimentation, learning, and iteration to drive better processes and outcomes.
  • Create and update process documentation.
  • Perform CAD work to support process development, evaluation, and tooling activities.
  • Develop and edit CNC programs.
  • Collect data, perform tests, and support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support daily manufacturing activities and resolve process problems.
  • Maintain organized files, drawings, and revision control to ensure documentation accuracy and traceability.
  • Comply with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency using computers in a technical work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and effective communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or technical certificate in mechanical design, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Exposure to regulated aerospace manufacturing environments (e.g., AS9100).
  • Familiarity with 3D parametric CAD software and engineering drafting.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience through internships, school projects, or shop work.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing concepts.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled, well lit, and reasonably clean aerospace manufacturing environment. Noise levels are generally below 80 decibels.
  • Most work is performed on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment with required PPE.
  • Role involves standing, walking, climbing stairs, and moving around equipment during daily activities.
  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or lifting items up to 25 pounds.
  • Work requires use of hands and arms to handle and manipulate parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Tasks include a blend of hands-on activities with parts, tools, and equipment, and technical work such as reviewing data and using computer-based systems.
  • Frequent interaction and communication with production teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Extended periods of focus and attention to detail may be required when working on technical projects.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
