Job Overview

The Tour Managers oversee the day-to-day operation, production load-in/strike, media appearances, and customer experience of Macy's Santa Tour on behalf of Macy's Studios.

What You Will Do



  • Have full schedule availability from 11/3/25 - 12/23/25
  • Work with Production Operations Specialist to design and implement staff training
  • Partner with Production Operations Specialist on development of each tour stop's production schedule and daily timelines

    • Manage timelines and points of contact for each location
    • Liaison with Stores team keeping attention to arrival, departure, store preparation, and safety at each location
    • Liaison with External Communications to ensure staff attend all press hits and media appearances

  • Maintain the highest levels of customer service throughout the tour

    • Interface with guests and address special needs and/or concerns
    • Demonstrated experience in responsibly de-escalating and managing through employee relations issues, as well as customer disputes and/or concerns
    • Ability to manage through challenges with the utmost discretion, and an understanding of legal and ethical obligations to colleagues and the company

  • Ensure safety guidelines are being adhered to in all touring locations
  • Oversee load-in/strike of event set and assets
  • Send nightly report recapping events of the day
  • Must be comfortable living on a tour bus with other tour personnel and be comfortable living and/or sleeping in a confined space for an extended period of time

    • Must maintain a respectful and organized demeanor while living on the tour bus

  • Must be comfortable with air travel
  • Work alongside a diverse team and be a team player
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Who You Are



  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply
  • You must have the ability to work independently and to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

    • Crowd control experience preferred

  • Experience with employee relations, leading teams of varying sizes, and training others in the skills required for their positions is preferred
  • Touring operations experience (preferably in entertainment, theater, or production, Company/Tour/Stage Manager).
  • Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values
  • Event execution and/or management experience is required

    • Managing schedules and timelines.
    • Working with media/press preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required

    • Must be able to stay calm under pressure and problem-solve in a dynamic environment
    • Knowledge of a second language helpful but not required

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Other Skills:

    • Customer service experience
    • Basic computer skills



Essential Physical Demands/Work Hours



  • Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds
  • Heavy lifting and getting dirty should be expected in this position
  • 4am - 10pm on alternating or successive days
  • On tour 11/30/25 - 12/23/25
