Moog's Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Design Drafter. A Design Drafter is responsible for layouts, models, and drawings in support of development and product design. 1st shift work schedule onsite in East Aurora, New York. To be considered for this role, here's what you would typically bring:
Possess a minimum of an associate's degree in a technical major plus a minimum of 1-5 years Design and Drafting experience An introductory background and experience, including but not limited to machine shop practices, part fabrication methods, material properties and basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) methodologies. Communication suitable for effective oral and written skills, dealings with the technical community is required. Proficient experience and knowledge in utilization of Siemens NX 3D Mcad design software. Additionally experience using Solidworks or PTC Creo is a plus. Knowledge and use of Teamcenter PLM is desirable

Effectively translate requirements from various sources into detailed engineering drawings and supporting electronic data for manufacturing and inspection of fabricated parts and assemblies. Ability to collaborate with Engineering to ensure the accuracy and integrity of designs, layouts, parts, BOMs, and manufacturing data, aligning with intended design specifications. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality in completing assigned tasks. Represent the company professionally, upholding its technical reputation in all interactions.
As a Design Drafter, you will:
Convert layouts and sketches into working detailed drawings developed and dependent on computer generated 3D/Solid models and layouts, working independently or in conjunction with others. Responsible for simple design layouts of new products; modifications of existing or similar products utilizing various computer aided techniques, design drafting standards, processes, and established practices. Create and check detail drawings for completeness and accuracy, insures the EBOM in Teamcenter is accurate and complete. Contributes to a cost-effective design and functional products by working closely with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering Translation of requirements emanating from a variety of sources used to generate detailed engineering drawings, as well as supporting electronic data for manufacturing and inspection of fabricated parts and assemblies. In conjunction with Engineering, ensures that the detailed integrity of designs, layouts, parts, BOM and Manufacturing data meets the intended design and drawing requirements.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $60,000.00-$80,000.00 Annually
