Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position $72,105 - $97,857. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. About the Role: The Contract Support Specialist III - Contract Closeout provides advanced acquisition and contract administration support with a particular emphasis on contract closeout and de-obligation of undelivered orders (UDOs). This role requires full knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific supplements to assist Contracting Officers in completing complex contract closeout functions in a timely, compliant, and auditable manner.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:



  • Lead efforts to prepare, review, and execute contract closeout documentation for various contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, task/delivery orders, etc.).
  • Coordinate with finance, property, and program offices to validate receipt and acceptance, reconcile invoices, resolve final indirect rates, and ensure all administrative actions are completed.
  • Identify and de-obligate excess funds on undelivered orders (UDOs) in accordance with agency policy and fiscal law.
  • Track, report, and maintain metrics on closeout progress and de-obligation activities to support program and audit readiness.
  • Validate data and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency procedures.
  • Conduct quality reviews of acquisition packages and make recommendations to Contracting Officers.
  • Maintain organized electronic contract files in accordance with records management requirements.
  • Liaise with contracting, legal, finance, and program offices to resolve issues and ensure smooth closeout processing.
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in automated procurement and financial systems.
  • Prepare reports, trackers, and presentations for management as required.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


Experience Requirements:



  • Minimum of four (4) years of federal contracting experience equivalent to the GS-1102 qualification standard.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract closeout and UDO de-obligation processes preferred.


Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of 24 semester hours in business-related college courses (e.g., accounting, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to meet/exceed monthly metric goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of records retention, audit preparation, and data validation best practices.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with client and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
