Functional Lead, Index Change

The role sits within Index Change and works very closely with the Index Operations & Reviews, Technology and Research & Analytics teams. Index Change is part of the Benchmark and Indices Operations Division.

The role reports into the UAT Manager, based in Fort Mill. The role is strategic and provides User Acceptance Testing (UAT) expertise across London Stock Exchange.

Index Change is responsible for all elements of Business Change of the London Stock Exchange. It is a global group, with teams in London, Taipei, and Fort Mill. The group operates a "follow the sun model" and works as a single team across the different time zones.

This role will encompass all asset classes and data elements, working with the teams in each location and strategic partners to achieve the objectives. The role sits within a SAFE Agile development methodology, the successful applicant will be a strong team player who is a self-starter with strong UAT experience.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for key areas that include, but are not limited to:

* Ensuring that the development process is being demonstrably followed

* Sign off business requirements for completeness and ability to create and validate test cases from user stories

* Ensure full SDLC governance is followed

* Liaison with Development, QA, and the end users (Business)

* Ability to create E2E business scenarios that are not documented in user stories, working with the business to understand these operational flows

* Support the development of business requirements

* Provide test plan to define approach

* Create traceability matrix to ensure proper coverage.

* Peer Review and sign off UAT Test Plans and Scripts written by UAT Analysts

* Provide support and council to UAT analyst

* Execution of UAT Test Scripts

* Production of Execution Reports

* Lead the writing of procedures and provide training to user for projects and enhancements worked on

* Represent Index change on smaller projects from initialisation phase right through to implementation.

* Team player, working with the team to help resolve production issues, maintain environments, and improve overall quality within the team

* Support the business on recent system enhancements

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

* Excellent communication skills allowing an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the company and with external clients/suppliers

* Excellent knowledge of financial markets - Fixed Income and Equities especially

* Commercial experience implementing projects within a financial institution

* Good attention to detail is essential

* Must be able to work under pressure and prioritise conflicting tasks to complete

them in the most effective way

* Ability to relate to commercial as well as technical staff at all levels within FTSE Russell is important

* Ability to provide constructive feedback to UAT analysts

* Ability to challenge technology requirements and be the voice of the business.

* Proven ability to develop and manage test cases/scripts, test criteria & procedures

* Proven ability to translate scope and business rules into test cases/scripts

* Proven ability to develop test cases/scripts when there is no clearly defined scope, requirements, uses cases or stories

* Have excellent SQL knowledge

* Have excellent Microsoft office knowledge with a focus on Excel

* Familiar with various test products and tools (e.g. Quality Center, Jira etc.)
