What we are looking for

Are you a visionary marketing leader ready to shape the future of a mission-driven, industry-leading firm? SCS Engineers is looking for our first ever Marketing Director to lead the development and execution of our company-wide marketing strategy. This new high-impact role offers the opportunity to collaborate with executive leadership, drive strategic initiatives, and elevate our brand across diverse markets. As Marketing Director, you'll report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and work closely with business unit leaders, marketing professionals, and corporate teams to align marketing efforts with business development goals. You'll lead a talented team, manage key campaigns, and oversee the creation of compelling content and collateral that reflects our values and vision. This hybrid role offers flexibility while being anchored in our Overland Park office.



How you can make an impact

    Develop and refine the organization's marketing strategy to align with overarching business goals.
  • Influence strategic planning in collaboration with firm leadership and business development team.
  • Evaluate existing markets, identify and evaluate target markets and client segments and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate marketing success.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer to develop and oversee the implementation of the firm's marketing plan, aligning it with the corporate mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead planning efforts around diverse marketing campaigns encompassing advertising, content marketing, social media, and email marketing, among others.
  • Develop and manage annual corporate marketing budget and objectives, including partnering with marketing/business development leaders across the company and allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI.
  • Measure and analyze marketing efforts to assess effectiveness and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights.
  • Report progress in implementing the marketing plan, revise goals, objectives, and priorities as appropriate.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including website content, social media campaigns, email marketing, display booths, and other advertising materials.
  • Work alongside the Director of Communications and the Graphics staff to create brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand image.
  • Direct selection and implementation of marketing vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Direct marketing expenditures to ensure consistency with the annual budget.
  • Build and implement marketing communication plans and business development best practices with business unit staff and peers throughout the organization.
  • Grow the SCS Marketing program through technical alignment, tools, systems, and strategies. Direct development of CRM and CMS as necessary to facilitate achieving marketing objectives.
  • Direct development of initiatives and thought-leadership content for collateral materials, website, blogs, media, print, video, etc. based on strategies outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of strong client relationships.
  • Spearhead training for technical staff in marketing and business development.
  • Lead, manage, and hire marketing staff.
  • Lead and mentor other marketing staff through participation in company-wide marketing groups and events.
  • In partnership with BU business development teams, develop and oversee execution of pursuit planning activities for significant opportunities or strategic efforts.
  • Establish and help enforce marketing policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related major required.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or designation as a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant marketing experience required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the AEC industry is required.
  • Advanced experience with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms required.


Pay Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
