Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer creates, tooling, workstations, efficient procedures, and material handling systems used to manufacture products to customer requirements.

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow to establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Conduct studies on cost control, cost reduction, and inventory control through the application of Lean principles.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action on quality issues.
  • Design tooling that improves the quality and repeatability of processes.
  • Design workstations that maintain ideal ergonomic postures.
  • Design material handling systems to transport product through the value stream.
  • Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors.
  • Provide front-line support for machine and assembly production issues.
  • Manage 3-5 projects with limited guidance.
  • Manage new product on-loads and technical contact with customer engineering as needed.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events.
  • Support estimating by reviewing engineering and providing feedback on manufacturability and potential risks.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications from our customers, and develop processes that meet these requirements.
  • Liaison between production, quality, planning, and management
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • 5+ years' Manufacturing Engineer experience,
  • Degree in Bachelor of Science, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Strong background in CAD software (Enovia, CATIA, AutoCad, Solidworks)
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook
  • Strong background in machining techniques
  • Experience reading blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) data
  • Experienced in Syteline or equivalent ERP system

Salary Offering:$80,000 to $110,000 annually
