Work individually and part of team to assemble an entire product or component of a product. -
Performs duties in accordance with computerized and paper production documentation. -
Position production materials and maintain proper dimensions according to specifications. -
Selects and moves production materials as required using carts. -
Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. -
Ensures that products and systems meet nVent's quality specifications. May perform testing using specialized equipment. -
Performs paper and computerized transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. -
Performs rotational assignments as needed with assembly stations, work cells and paint line support. -
Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities. -
May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred. -
Prior experience working in light industrial facility preferred. -
Prior experience assembly mechanical parts into a finished product valued. -
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude preferred. -
Experience using hand and power tools valued. -
Experience following work instructions or reading blue printsdesirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ideally, knowledge of manufacturing processes. -
Ability to read, write and communicate in English. -
Ability to stand for duration of shift. -
Ability to operate a computer. -
Ability to follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves) for duration of shift. -
Skilled in hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. -
Material handling equipment such as a pallet jack. -
Hand tools:pliers, hammer, wrenches, sockets, files, screw drivers, etc. -
Power tools -
Telephone -
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour
