Key Responsibilities:

Data Management
* Clean and pre-process clinical datasets (handling missing values, outliers, ICD-10 and CPT code grouping)
* Implement advanced data imputation methods (e.g., Gaussian Copula)

Machine Learning and Modeling
* Develop and evaluate classification models (Decision Tree, Random Forest, AdaBoost, XGBoost, SVM, Dense Neural Networks)
* Perform feature-selection and importance analyses (permutation tests, correlation analysis)
* Integrate and benchmark generative-modeling approaches
* Design and implement XAI algorithms
* Collaborate with clinicians to validate interpretability outputs

Software Development & Prototyping
* Contribute to a web-based platform (front-end and back-end) to visualize predictions and model insights

*Build modular, well-documented code for future extensibility

Required Qualifications:

* Proficient in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
* Experience with data-preprocessing tools (pandas, NumPy) and database querying (SQL)
* Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Flask/Django, React or similar)
* Knowledge of explainable-AI techniques (SHAP, LIME, partial-dependence plots)
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and statisticians
* Version control proficiency (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Preferred Skills:

* Master's degree (or enrolled) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

* Prior experience in healthcare or biomedical data analysis
* Background in deep generative models and domain-adaptation methods
* Basic understanding of clinical context and pediatric critical-care terminology
