Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Reviews risk management plans and risk registers against best practices and industry standards to identify gaps and areas of improvement in the risk management process and individual risk tracking
  • Conducts and supports risk calibration meetings to improve expert judgment accuracy in establishing better data-driven response strategies
  • Anticipates and mitigates portfolio and program risks using qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including but not limited to probability and impact assessment, statistical analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, expected monetary value, and law of total probability calculations
  • Provides risk management coaching for all roles, levels, and experiences
  • Briefs executives and other stakeholders on risk management practices, processes, and tools with findings and recommendations for continual improvement

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance or higher
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of practicing Risk Management and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in analyzing and supporting portfolios, programs, and projects in risk identification, qualitative and quantitative analysis, response strategy determination and implementation, monitoring, and measuring outcomes
  • Must possess PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI Risk Management Professional (RMP) certifications. No substitutions or equivalencies are permitted

Preferred Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of NAVWAR, and the Navy's Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics & Business (PEO MLB) including their mission

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation
  • Post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol as outlined in our Drug Free Workplace policy
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed
