STV is actively seeking a Right-of-Way Planner for Washington, DC or Owings Mills, MD to be a part of our Advisory Division. The ideal candidate will be a planning professional interested in supporting right-of-way acquisition, infrastructure planning, and project delivery in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You also will have the opportunity to learn both in the office and in the field from experienced ROW planners and project managers, gaining hands-on exposure to federal, state, and local regulations, acquisition processes, and project documentation.

The Right-of-Way Planner will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the preparation and management of right-of-way acquisition documentation.
  • Supporting project teams, including engineers, environmental specialists, and legal staff, to ensure timely project execution.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including property owners, agency representatives, and consultants.
  • Maintaining accurate project records, preparing reports, and supporting presentations for management and regulatory audiences.
  • Learning and applying federal, state, and local ROW regulations and acquisition procedures.
  • Participating in meetings, field visits, and hearings as needed to support project progress.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a professional environment.

Compensation Range:

$60,668.00 - $80,890.00
