Inside the Role

The Sales Controlling Analyst provides margin and portfolio forecasts, reports on actuals and is a key contributor in defining acquisition strategy of the US and Canada entities.
This position works cross-functionally to share DTFS financial results, educate business partners regarding financial impacts of their decisions, provide forward-looking financial insight on market conditions and competitors, and model alternative business scenarios. This role is responsible for monitoring performance of ongoing pricing programs as well as providing oversight of financial results of various strategic programs and initiatives. This role is key in driving business decisions and defining long-term strategy for the region.

What You Drive

  • Responsible for providing interest margin forecast and actual results for US and Canada; prepares regular reports and presentations to DTFS management to provide transparency to and identify drivers of financial performance
  • Month-end reporting including preparing actual vs forecast variance analysis, commentary, Sales and Penetration reporting, TM1 template submission, Flash Report, Match Funding entry review
  • Prepare monthly margin, portfolio and acquisition forecast
  • Support the development of the annual forecast, updating the model drivers and customer segment forecast
  • Support ICS, PBC and KPMG requirements
  • Analysis of financial results to assist in developing strategies and appropriate countermeasures; modeling of alternative business strategies; providing insights and guidance to drive business strategy discussions.
  • Decide which issues regarding financial performance need to be brought to management's attention
  • Propose appropriate recommendations to address issues identified
  • Model various business scenarios to drive optimal financial performance

What You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • 1-3 years of Financial Accounting or related experience.
  • 5+ years knowledge of Financial Services, Banking or related field.
  • 1 year of Strategy experience.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services business model and key financial terms such as interest margin and experience loan portfolio analytics.
  • Experience with general ledger accounts, forecasting/planning and process tools.
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts and identify trends and variances.
  • Ability to formulate and test hypothesis for the purpose of forecasting outcomes.
  • Microsoft Suite knowledge.
  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting and visualization tools.
  • Customer focus.
  • Planning and organizing ability.

Exceptional Candidates May Have

  • SAP knowledge.
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.
