What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Global Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team in Duluth, GA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Duluth office and the flexibility of remote work.

Joining Viasat as a Logistics Analyst in Duluth, GA, provides an exciting opportunity to drive the success of a global supply chain by supporting logistics and fulfillment operations. The role empowers a proactive expert to manage diverse responsibilities, including overseeing inventory transactions, coordinating international transportation, and optimizing logistics processes and cost models. Collaboration with internal teams, external customers, and 3PL providers is essential to ensure seamless global product movement, requiring a strong analytical mentality, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous, data-driven improvement of operational efficiency and inventory management.


The day-to-day

  • Transportation and Logistics Management: Oversee all transportation activities and drive continuous logistics process improvements. This includes soliciting and preparing freight quotes, scheduling moves using 3PL networks, and monitoring vendor performance against service agreements.

  • Inventory Control and Systems: Coordinate and process inventory using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP systems. Analyze and manage control processes to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Review forwarding and invoicing instructions based on customer/partner profiles to ensure timely, compliant exports with proper documentation.

  • Cost Analysis and Negotiation: Analyze strategic savings opportunities, identify cost reduction initiatives, and negotiate rates with warehousing vendors, forwarders, and truckers. This also involves evaluating third-party quotes for optimal pricing and service.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain and analyze financial, inventory, and compliance metrics. Use data to drive continuous improvement and support the development of new services and systems.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Provide product movement updates to internal and external partners, support the S&OP team, and partner cross-functionally with teams like Finance, Compliance, and Supply Chain. Reconcile freight invoices and support financial reporting.

  • Trade Compliance Support: Assist with trade compliance through training and collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product teams.


What you'll need

  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or core supply chain functions (e.g., Demand/Supply Planning).

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and research capabilities.

  • Solid understanding of import/export regulations and government compliance.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment within established policies.

  • Ability to travel locally up to 10% of time to offsite warehouse locations.

What will help you on the job

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP and Transportation Management Systems, including advanced Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of analytical platforms such as Alteryx, Tableau, and OBIEE.

  • Familiarity with VAT and international trade regulations.

  • Demonstrated high analytical competence.


Salary range

$78,500.00 - $120,500.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $95,500.00- $143,500.00/ annually
