Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift | Direct Hire Opportunity in Neenah, WI

Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.57 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift | Full-Time | Direct Hire

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of commercial and industrial facilities. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

Daily Responsibilities:



  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Conduct regular shift rounds to inspect, identify, and document the performance of equipment and systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:

    • HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
    • Dock equipment (overhead doors, dock levelers, seals, and locks)
    • Lighting systems, transformers, motors, and MCC panels


  • Perform preventive maintenance, such as filter changes, lubrication, and replacing belts, hoses, and fluids.
  • Repair and rebuild pumps, valves, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
  • Order parts, manage purchase orders, and coordinate vendor support.
  • Enter and track work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers and clients to provide updates on repairs and timelines.
  • Occasionally manage maintenance projects or supervise subcontractors.



What You'll Bring

Education:



  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical or trade school training preferred.


Experience:



  • Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry work.
  • Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain building systems and industrial equipment.


Licenses/Certifications:



  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift and aerial/scissor lift certifications preferred.


Technical Skills:



  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Capable of interpreting maintenance manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with email, Word, and CMMS or building automation systems.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in various environments, including rooftops and outdoor conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working at heights.
