Under general supervision, the MTM Outpatient technician is responsible for provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. The technician will outreach patients using the electronic medical record platform to provide patient medication therapy management by completing adherence interventions and working with the pharmacist to address drug therapy problems. Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences. Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas; and a creative and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a large, complex organization. Must be able to work variable shifts to include weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to rotate to all pharmacy areas/sites. General responsibilities of The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician III may be required as well, and perform a full range of duties in a retail pharmacy setting and able to perform all general tasks in all areas of the pharmacy. They will assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use according to established procedures; facilitates in the distribution of medications including delivery of medications to the patient's bedside (Med-2-Bed program); performs computer order entry, record keeping, and billing functions; maintains inventory levels; and performs other duties as assigned. Will perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in different pharmacy areas. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $67,756 - $84,209 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $32.45 - $40.33 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
