Job Title: Sr. Product Engineering TechnicianReporting To: Manager Staff, SDG EngineeringWork Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NYOur team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Senior Product Engineering Technician to join them. You will report to the SDG Staff Engineering Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York. To be considered for Senior Product Engineering Technician, here's what you'll need to bring with you: * Associate's Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of production test technician experience preferably working with prototypes As a Senior Product Engineering Technician, you will: * Plan and perform Engineering tests and Engineering inspections/evaluations, maintaining specified performance parameters in of production hardware. * Use technical understanding of high precision complex electrohydraulic servo components to the degree required to diagnose performance failures and specify rework and understanding of design principles that govern performance of the product line. * Data reduction, preparation, evaluation, trending, and analysis of engineering reports associated with assigned projects and/or models. * Complete assigned production product responsibilities that will normally be limited to the sustaining engineering effort associated with established production programs but may also include Product Engineering cognizance of standard product line models from Prototype transfer through the production phase. * Complete product assignments that will typically be of the engineering level assigned to Assistant Product Engineers. * Prepare production Assembly/Test documentation including worksheets, Engineering Instructions, Customer Acceptance Test Procedures, and receive approval of the Product Engineering Manager. * Assist Assembly/Test Foreman and Technicians in methods, use of equipment and instrumentation, and test failure diagnosis and rework. * Monitor Assembly/Test producibility of assigned products and instituting continuous improvements. * Maintain technical liaison with Customer Engineering and between Moog and the customer on assigned production programs and provide occasional technical supervision of Engineering Technicians in completed specific assignments. * Work with all levels within the company to assure completion of assignments. * Provide expedited solutions of engineering programs affecting production of assigned products. * Coordination of engineering effort required of departments outside Product Engineering in resolving technical problems on assigned models. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
