Pay: $39.56/hr. plus fringe benefit of $12.38/hr.

Job Description

The Plumber/Pipefitter - Operations is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment supporting water, gas, steam, sewage, and compressed air systems throughout the facility or campus. This role supports daily operations by ensuring that mechanical piping systems function safely and efficiently, and complies with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 
    

    Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and steam piping.

    Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems for HVAC, compressed air, and other mechanical services.

    Inspect and test systems using pressure gauges, leak detectors, and other testing devices.

    Troubleshoot pipe system problems and recommend effective repair strategies.

    
    
  • 
    

    Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams.

    Coordinate with other trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical) for system tie-ins or shared utilities.

    Perform preventive maintenance and operational checks on pumps, valves, backflow preventers, traps, and related equipment.

    Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

    Adhere to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and organizational policies.
