Java Software Engineer

Location:

• Owns the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform.
• Independently develops clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned; performs peer code reviews.
• Participates in the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
• Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers.
• Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
• Applies recommended information security standards when developing code and seeks to validate.
• Assesses the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies
• Contributes to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing code
• Identifies potential standards and best practices.

Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience and proficiency in the following areas:

• Java - Strong object-oriented programming skills and backend development experience.
• React - Building dynamic, responsive front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• HTML/CSS - Developing accessible, standards-compliant, and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Git - Proficient in version control workflows, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• RESTful APIs - Designing, consuming, and integrating RESTful web services for scalable application development.
  

Experience or familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:

• CI/CD - Exposure to automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLabs.
• SQL - Writing and optimizing queries for relational databases such as SQL Server.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
