Description We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement Specialist - Temporary. In this role, you'll work closely with our Buyers and Purchasing Manager, supporting vendor communication and making sure orders are processed accurately and on time. What You'll Do: Support 3 - 4 Buyers by managing their purchase order (PO) activity Follow up on open orders, check for updates, and make changes in our system (SXE) as needed Respond to assigned support tickets related to vendor orders (around 5-6 per day; more during peak times) Help track and confirm order details, such as shipping notices and pricing changes (including ASN and EDI tracking) Build strong communication with vendors, Buyers, and the Purchasing Manager to keep everything running smoothly Shorr Packaging does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position. The targeted hourly rate for this position is $20 per hour. This temporary position is not benefits eligible. This temporary position is targeted to start on 11/1/2025 and will end on 1/30/2026. The expected hours for this role is 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, working onsite 2 days a week after the initial onboarding period. What You'll Bring: High school diploma or equivalent (required) At least 6 months of experience in procurement, distribution, or warehousing preferred Basic knowledge of inventory or vendor coordination is a plus Experienced in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) A team-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn Shorr Packaging Corp is an equal-opportunity employer.
