Job Summary

Prepares, manages, and oversees quotation activities for complex electrical product and service requests using specialized skills and in-depth industry knowledge. Completes assignments with limited supervision and serves as an informal resource to less experienced team members. Identifies patterns from partial or conflicting information and recommends innovative approaches to support accurate and timely quoting. Ensures that pricing proposals align with customer needs, technical requirements, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the quotation process for large or high-value requests by managing priorities, ensuring compliance with pricing guidelines, and aligning with sales strategy.
  • Administers complex bid responses by gathering specifications, reviewing terms, and preparing documentation that meets customer and internal requirements.
  • Communicates with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to clarify product configurations, timelines, and custom requirements for quotation accuracy.
  • Monitors the status of open quotes and performs follow-ups with internal teams and customers to drive timely responses and conversion opportunities.
  • Completes pricing calculations, cost analysis, and documentation reviews to ensure consistency, competitiveness, and margin targets.
  • Interprets customer documentation and market feedback to inform quoting decisions and suggest alternate solutions when needed.
  • Calls external vendors and manufacturers to confirm lead times, availability, and pricing for special or non-standard components.
  • Keeps quotation records, pricing templates, and supporting materials organized and accessible for future reference and audit.
  • Coaches junior quotation coordinators on pricing systems, documentation standards, and cross-functional coordination to improve team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Manages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma
