Strategic Technology & Portfolio

The Strategic Technology & Portfolio (STP) Group at Vantage Data Centers is a global, multi-functional organization responsible for driving enterprise-wide technology strategy, business transformation, and portfolio execution. The department plays a substantial role in aligning technology investments with business priorities, enabling scalable growth, and encouraging innovation across Vantage's hyperscale operations.

The group partners closely with the PMO, Business Optimization, and platform teams to deliver coordinated solutions that support Vantage's hyper-growth and operational perfection.

Position Overview

This role is based in Denver, Colorado, with a flexible work arrangement: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

As a key member of the Strategic Technology & Portfolio group, the Enterprise Architect will contribute to the development and execution of Vantage's global architecture strategy. This individual contributor role partners closely with IT and executive leadership to integrate operational and business systems, optimize data architecture, and deliver scalable, secure technology platforms.

You will influence end-to-end architecture models, guide application and infrastructure integration, and enable intuitive access to operational and business telemetry. This role requires a strategic mentality, strong project leadership, and the ability to collaborate across functions without direct people management responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Enterprise Architecture Strategy

  • Develop strategic architecture roadmaps aligned with business capabilities and growth objectives.

  • Conduct assessments to identify technology gaps and recommend improvements across systems and platforms.

  • Define integration strategies for M&A activities, ensuring usability, data integrity, security, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Promote adoption of new technologies while mitigating risks and maintaining customer-centricity.

  • Technology & Infrastructure Leadership

  • Partner with IT to build and evolve infrastructure strategies, including hosting standards, data management practices, and interoperability frameworks.

  • Govern solution architecture initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise infrastructure and business goals.

  • Evaluate and improve technology processes, documentation, and training to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

  • Multi-functional partnership

  • Act as a strategic thought partner across IT and business teams.

  • Influence architectural decisions through teamwork, documentation, and partner engagement.

  • Provide guidance and domain expertise to project teams without direct management responsibilities.

  • Research & Innovation

  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends to advise architecture decisions.

  • Conduct fit-gap analyses, prototyping, and cost-benefit assessments to support solution recommendations.

  • Maintain current knowledge of IT and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in IT and enterprise architecture

  • Proven success in project and portfolio management

  • Strong communication, analytical, and executive presentation skills

  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Tools, CRM, ERP, HCM, Work Order, Asset, and Document Management systems.

  • Deep understanding of secure platform implementation and system architecture

  • Familiarity with architectural frameworks and business models

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5%-10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $175,000 - 185,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
