*Level 3 Data Center Technician - A Side Night Shift* *Schedule:* Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM or Wednesday (every other), Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
*Location:* Onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI (MKE 03 and 04) We are seeking a skilled *Level 3 Data Center Technician* to join our IT team. This role is focused on GPU cluster deployments and data center operations in a hyperscale environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server installations, and troubleshooting, with at least 4 years of experience in a hyperscale setting. *Responsibilities:* * Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed: * Move, inspect, install, and cable servers and switches. * Ensure neat and standard-compliant cable bundling. * Coordinate with network admins to verify connectivity. * Install components (NICs, drives, memory). * Unbox and prep servers, audit inventory. * Troubleshoot server issues and isolate problems. * Order and replace defective parts. * Update server firmware and configure IPs. * Support network admins with server/switch issues. * Rack and stack devices for remote configuration. * Deploy and configure GPUs, ensuring functionality. * Perform break-fix tasks and component replacements. * Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution. * Act as liaison between team members and management. * Prioritize and manage team workload. * Review and validate build documentation. * Direct build activities and ensure alignment with standards. * Provide leadership and support program growth. * Manage multiple projects in a high-stress environment. * Monitor deadlines and report status to project managers. * Ensure safety compliance and data center standards. *Requirements:* * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. * Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components. * Familiarity with office productivity tools (email, spreadsheets, documents). * Flexibility to work weekends and holidays. * Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and climb ladders safely. * Ability to wear PPE and remain productive while standing/walking for extended periods. * 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale data center environment. *Top Skills:* * Data center operations * Deployment and cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic) * Rack and stack * Troubleshooting * GPU installation and support *Preferred Qualifications:* * CompTIA A+ / Server+ or equivalent experience * CCENT or CCNA certification * MCP/MCSE certification * Windows OS experience * Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) * Experience with structured cabling and optical testing * Familiarity with storage devices and ITIL framework * Strong understanding of OSI Layers 1-3 * OSHA30 or higher certification *Note:* This role is part of a team based in Southeastern Wisconsin, supporting GPU cluster deployments across multiple shifts on a 3x4x12 schedule. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $36.30 - $36.30/hr.
