Job Description We are hiring 8 Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding states. Travel is required, and per diem will be provided for out-of-town assignments. Technicians will be responsible for: * Installing data racks and cabinets * Running and terminating Cat6 and COAX cables * Installing faceplates, testing, and labeling * Setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes * Assisting in building out server closets for network setups Work will take place both indoors and outdoors at school and apartment buildings. Some tasks may include digging trenches and directional drilling. Technicians will follow instructions from project leads. Required Skills * Installation * Cat6/Cat5 cabling * Punchdown * Wireless access points * CCTV and security systems * Cable termination * Low voltage systems * Video setup Additional Qualifications * Reliable and hardworking * Strong attention to detail * Motivated to grow professionally Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
