This Position reports to:

SVP, Product Portfolio & Strategy

Working as a Product Manager, you will be a key member of the marketing and sales team in Electrification Installation Products, defining product portfolio strategy, multi-generational product development plans, including marketing communication, training and sales initiatives for Medium Voltage Apparatus products.

Reporting to the ELIP Sr. Product Manager of Connectivity & Grounding, you will oversee all steps in the life cycle of products, systems or services, including development, launch, maintenance, pricing and profitability of six product lines within the Connectivity & Grounding portfolio in North America.

This role is open to remote candidates located within the US - or hybrid out of the Memphis, TN ELIP office (#LI-Remote).

Key responsibilities:

  • Drives the profitability and life cycle for Connectivity & Grounding product lines (includes Blackburn Mechanical & Grounding, Application Tooling, Russell Stoll and supporting lines) by defining pricing guidelines and market position, and forward-looking product development plans

  • Responsible for maximizing Gross Margin dollars for the above product lines, optimizing the price/margin/share/sales equation

  • Supports inventory levels and sales volumes to ensure ability to meet customer orders, while tracking and analyzing the performance and trends of responsible Connectivity & Grounding lines

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to propose and evaluate product feasibility projects and roadmaps, including Multi-Generational Product Plans and Cost Reduction Initiatives for Connectivity & Grounding Product Lines, following the Sr. Product Manager's vision for the portfolio

  • Ensures ABB's value proposition for the target segment is developed and well communicated (internally and externally). Guides, coaches, and develops the skills and knowledge of the sales team. Actively participates in the development of international standards and regulations by identifying and influencing the appropriate external bodies (including government, legislative bodies, technical and trade associations).

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Development and/or Sales in related markets

  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Components NA market

  • Demonstrated experience in managing marketing and sales strategy

  • Knowledge and experience of Excel, Powerpoint, SFDC and SAP

  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams

  • A BS in Business, Marketing or equivalent

  • Current US license valid in US and/or US related permit

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for ABB

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $185,920 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
