Role Description

As a member of the Zoetis U.S. Petcare Marketing team, and Marketing Leadership Team, this role is responsible for leading all marketing efforts for the parasiticides & vaccines franchise for Zoetis' US petcare team. This colleague will supervise a team of marketing professionals, be a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, and will actively partner with sales and medical teams and enabling functions to direct and execute business and marketing plans for aligned therapeutic areas. This candidate will have P&L responsibility for a significant part of the US Petcare product and services portfolio. The Sr. Director, Dermatology and AIFs Marketing must have proven people leadership qualities, strong strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across teams and functions. Based at either our Parsippany site or remote, this person will work closely with all key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Marketing programs and initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

Individual responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the development and implementation of business and marketing planning for the US petcare parasiticides & vaccines businesses and leads the three-year rolling operating plan process for assigned products, services and platforms.
  • Develops deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and key drivers of TA and brand performance
  • Defines end-to-end TA and brand strategies (incl. competitive positioning, VHT, channel, pet owner, Public Relations, etc. )
  • Maximizes brand performance: P&L management, brand forecasting, pricing & GTN by TA/Brand
  • Determines resource allocation across all customer and promotional channels
  • Develops centralized brand collateral relevant across all customer and promotional channels
  • Develops strategic and tactical plans and oversees execution across all channels
  • Ensures alignment across marketing & sales (creates teams and forums for engagement, strategy discussions, competitive intel sharing, etc.)
  • Oversees the planning and execution of marketing promotions
  • Provides regular market updates and performance metrics to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • As a leader, must model Zoetis' core values and leader behaviors, and conduct business in a manner consistent with those values and behaviors.

Shared responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with sales, medical, channel marketing on forecast by channel, which feeds into overall brand forecasts
  • Partners with sales team to develop channel-specific collateral
  • Builds and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of end-to-end strategy
  • Collaborates with other TA leads to drive impactful portfolio initiatives targeting both veterinary and pet owner audiences
  • Coordinates with Veterinary Medical Research & Development (VMRD) and Global Product Marketing (GPM) on lifecycle strategies and plans to ensure a robust pipeline of new products and line extensions, as well as mitigate the impacts of loss of exclusivity (LOE) in certain markets.
  • Engages with GMS to optimize forecasting and supply plans
  • Provides input and support on Business Development evaluations
  • Contributes to Operating Plan, President's Review, and Board updates, for aligned TAs in collaboration with other team leads

  • Coaches and directs Team Leads and their teams in developing comprehensive marketing objectives, strategies and plans and in identifying and including key stakeholders throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • Prior Zoetis Experience Preferred
  • BS /BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of related experience and a proven record demonstrating successful branding, strategy development and communications management.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and proven ability to manage budgets and expenses.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing brand strategies, forecasting, programs and tactics to achieve and surpass market share and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and player/coach and influence without authority.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to oversee complex, cross-functional projects that require input from many internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills; strong negotiation/persuasion skills.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing disciplines; brand management; market research; communications strategy; customer insight; and marketing material development.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and ability to learn Zoetis systems)
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant info.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $228,640-328,670 Our salary ranges are

determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range

for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional

factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation

This position is also eligible for long-term incentives
