Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a leading management consulting firm, is seeking two Program Associates for an upcoming opportunity to serve as the professional program staff for the New York State Center for School Safety Technical Assistance Center (the Center) operated under contract with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Student Support Services. The Program Associates will serve as statewide technical assistance specialists for the statewide Center. Under the direction of the Center Project Director, staff will provide research-informed professional development, technical assistance, and consultation to schools, districts, and BOCES to support safe and supportive learning environments.

Location: Remote with preference given to candidates located in New York State or adjacent states

Provide technical assistance via phone, email, videoconference, and on-site visits to schools and districts on school safety planning, Dignity for All Students Act (Dignity Act) implementation, and climate improvement.

Design and deliver web-based and in-person professional development sessions on topics such as school safety planning, emergency drills, bullying prevention, and social emotional learning.

Assist in reviewing district-wide and building-level safety plans and codes of conduct.

Support schools designated as Persistently Dangerous or Potentially Persistently Dangerous by assisting with Incident Reduction Plans and follow-up reviews.

Contribute to Center reports, newsletters, and web-based resources by developing practical tools, templates, and best-practice materials.

Collect and analyze data related to technical assistance requests, professional development attendance, and participant feedback.

Maintain effective communication and collaboration with NYSED staff and partner agencies.

Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Social Services, Psychology, or School/Mental Health Counseling, or related field.

At least three (3) years of experience in a school setting related to school safety, climate, or emergency planning, or in providing professional development or technical assistance.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with educators, administrators, and community stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in project documentation and reporting.

Experience implementing or supporting Project SAVE (Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act), Dignity for All Students Act (Dignity Act), and school climate initiatives.

Familiarity with New York State school systems and reporting requirements (e.g., SSEC reporting).

Knowledge of evidence-based programs in bullying prevention, SEL, and emergency preparedness.

Experience developing training materials, conducting webinars, or facilitating learning communities.
