KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Assistant, primarily working with the Japanese practice to join our Administrative & Office Experience organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a broad scope of administrative services to Partners / Managing Directors (PMD), including the following: managing calendars; coordinating meetings and events (client and internal); arranging catering and travel; providing engagement setup and client billing support; performing client and industry research; liaising with technology and other support teams; drafting letters, communications, presentations and social media postings; assisting with marketing efforts and providing other support/deliverables as needed
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients; understand PMD priorities, projects and preferences in order to meet expectations and add value; demonstrate professionalism and tact in all interactions; act as a liaison for PMDs with members of their teams, management and external clients; handle confidential information with discretion
  • Utilize Japanese and English language skills in a business environment, including coordinating communication between Japanese-speaking and English-speaking clients and team members, translating business documents, presentations, contracts and correspondence
  • Collaborate with team members to address day-to-day challenges related to services, technology, business relationships or other issues, including collaborating with Digital Nexus or other internal teams/resources as necessary
  • Participate in Administrative Services team meetings actively and constructively; contribute to internal project teams to enhance knowledge, skills and the overall success of Administrative Services initiatives
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience, either in administrative services or customer service-related role; industry knowledge in Audit, Tax or Advisory services preferred
  • High School diploma required, completed coursework from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Proficient in both Japanese and English languages in a business environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and effective at interacting with individuals at all levels of the firm; able to build productive relationships with peers; strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; solid analytical / research skills including the ability to take initiative in identifying solutions and communicating findings; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; advanced Excel skills including advanced reporting, data analysis, and the ability to understand and utilize formulas and functions effectively; exceptional web-based research skills and able to learn firm-wide applications
  • Skilled in working well on a team with common goals and responsibilities as well as leveraging strengths, expertise and diverse perspectives as a member of a high-performing team
  • Ability to work in the Los Angeles office at least 3 days a week, and able to work overtime as needed

California Salary Range: $39400 - $88000
