Job purpose

Responsible to manage and mentor team members, manage resource loads, and drive organizational effectiveness and accountability. Including: assisting with the strategic planning; ensuring that processes and procedures are in place; execution of the department vision to ensure customer and organizational needs are met; and collaborative work with internal/external teams, leadership, peers, and the executive leadership team to meet the company's goals. Core duties include leadership of the Project Management Team with the management of the processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of the customer experience as well as contributing to the overall company targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly team meetings to review projects and discuss success stories and/or any issues.
  • Ensure that all projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and negotiate changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines.
  • Provide solutions, technical information and support to our project management and Specifications Teams, dealers, A&D firms, end users and/or territory managers.
  • Develop effective business partnerships with other Global teams, including (but not limited to) Sales, Contracts, Customer Service, Product Management, Logistics, Production, Accounting, and Marketing to enhance abilities to drive results and overall goals.
  • Communicate job expectations, mentoring and establishing team goals and tracking progress.
  • Responsible for timely reporting of project details into CRM to keep Key Stakeholder's informed.
  • Encourage team members to look for process improvements and provide exceptional support to both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain open communication with leadership/field regarding project status and issues as needed.
  • Participate in strategy meetings, conference calls and presentations with clients.
  • Assist where needed on specification and/or coordination projects.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Talent Development: Identify skill gaps, provide coaching and mentoring to project managers, and promote professional development opportunities within the PMO.
  • Performs other related duties as required to manage the Project Management Team

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or CAD drafting degree from four-year college or university; and six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in CAP 20/20 and CET Designer.
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate, healthcare and education furniture specifications.
  • Advanced modeling skills in AutoCAD and CET Designer.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external clients.
  • Proven track record of completing assignments in a timely manner with proactive and self-starter approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously and under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Proven business analysis and project management success
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Some travel required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Global, an individual may not be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each potion and candidate. (If a bonus or commissions see below for additional sentence).
