Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining order in a government facility. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with staff and visitors to provide exceptional customer service. This role is both armed and requires driving, allowing you to respond promptly to situations and uphold a secure environment. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, making use of training and available resources to manage situations appropriately.
  • Monitor entry and exit points and/or restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order in line with client requirements.
  • Prepare and submit incident reports and routine activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary, providing assistance and information as directed by procedures.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty to help to deter unwanted activity and provide support to staff, visitors and/or contractors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
