Responsibilities The Robotic Program Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director of Surgical Services, is responsible for coordinating the clinical and administrative aspects of the Surgical Robotic Program. The Robotic Program Coordinator is a Register Nurse (RN). The RN is responsible for ordering and maintaining specific instruments, accessories and ancillary supplies related to robotic surgery and assisting in the management of inventory and PAR levels. Under the supervision of the operating surgeon, functions as the Registered Nurse in robotic surgery for all surgical specialties demonstrating thorough knowledge of the surgery, anticipating next steps with expert didactic skills. In collaboration with Medical Staff and the Director of Surgical Services, provides regularly scheduled educational opportunities to the Medical and Nursing staff. Assists in the education of the Sterile Processing staff regarding cleaning and sterilization of the robotic instrumentation based on best practices. Support the training and development of new surgeons in Robotic Surgery.
