Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and tenants. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas using a company vehicle as required. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail/mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for unusual circumstances.
• Assist with controlling access to the location and monitor for any suspicious behavior or activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related concerns or incidents.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by site-specific guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal leadership in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons while helping to deter theft or disturbances within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
