As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Corrections in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer and play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a corrections setting. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the corrections environment in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
• Monitor and report any unusual behavior, hazards, or security-related breaches in the corrections location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with staff and law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
• Complete reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
