Production Operator

Staffmark is hiring a Production Operator for a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing facility in Saint Martinville, LA. In this essential role, you'll help maintain the pickling process by preparing and monitoring brine solutions-ensuring quality and food safety every step of the way.

Pay Rate: $15.50/hour

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare and mix brine solutions according to recipe and schedule
• Monitor tank salinity, fluid levels, and temperatures
• Load and unload product into brine tanks
• Test samples and adjust solutions as needed
• Accurately record batch data and measurements
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tanks and workspace
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Follow all food safety and workplace safety protocols

What We're Looking For:

• Previous warehouse or machine operation experience required
• Food manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Basic math skills for measuring and adjusting solutions
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in wet, humid, cold conditions
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety
