Copper Splicing Crew Lead A leading technology infrastructure firm is seeking Copper Splicing Crew Leads to support a large-scale Data Center build in Montgomery, Alabama. These roles are critical to bridging the gap between Project Managers and on-site technicians, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality results. Position Overview Crew Leads will serve as the primary liaison between field technicians and project leadership. You'll be responsible for guiding Level 1 and Level 2 technicians, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring splicing work meets project specifications. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in copper splicing. Key Responsibilities * Perform and oversee copper splicing work on-site. * Lead and mentor technicians in daily operations. * Ensure quality control and adherence to specification documents. * Support Project Managers by coordinating crew activities and reporting progress. * Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of copper and fiber-optic cabling. * Read and interpret technical schematics and documentation. * Maintain safety standards and submit required paperwork on time. Required Skills & Experience * Extensive experience in copper splicing (not just cabling or fiber). * Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and installation practices. * Ability to lead crews and communicate effectively with both technicians and management. * Experience with quality control and project documentation. * Familiarity with fiber splicing is a plus. * BICSI certification or manufacturer-specific certifications are highly desirable. Experience Level * Intermediate to advanced; prior leadership experience is a plus but not required if splicing experience is strong. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
