Security Officer - Corrections Entry Screening

As a Security Officer - Corrections Entry Screening in Bushnell, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As a Screener in a corrections environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and monitoring assigned areas. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to maintaining a secure atmosphere for all individuals on site. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, while embodying Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity. By working collaboratively with your team and demonstrating a caring approach, you play a vital role in supporting a positive and secure corrections location experience.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with individuals entering the location, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct screening procedures for individuals entering the facility, which may include checking identification and/or conducting bag checks using Allied Universal protocols.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures as outlined by Allied Universal and the client.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and other personnel at the location.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
