Join a Collegial Group of Faculty at Northside's Family Medicine GME Program as a FMOB

Northside's Family Medicine Program seeks a dedicated Family Medicine-OB Faculty Member to join their growing team. Our Family Medicine Residency has grown in size from 15 residents to 24 residents, a testament to our program's progress and success.

Northside is proud to have a large group of core faculty, consisting of Doctors of Osteopathic and Allopathic Medicine, who are dedicated to ensuring our residents and fellows receive the highest quality clinical experience and medical training during their time in our programs. This commitment is at the heart of our educational mission.

For this role, the faculty member will be asked to participate in the gynecological and obstetrical training required for residents of Family Medicine training programs and therefore must also have experience and be able to be credentialed in our institution to teach and perform these duties.

Education:

  • MD or DO
  • Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program

Licensure/Certification:

  • BE|BC in Family Medicine
  • BE|BC in Obsterics and Gynecology
  • DEA certification
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience teaching residents and/or faculty experience ispreferred

Required:

  • For Family Medicine OB Faculty Position
    • MD or DO degree
    • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Family Medicine
    • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
    • Licensed and eligible to practice in Georgia
    • Unrestricted DEA Registration
    • Membership in good standing on the Gwinnett Hospital System Medical Staff

Preferred

  • For the Family Medicine OB Faculty Position
    • 5 years of teaching experience and experience in graduate medical education administration
    • 2 years' experience in family medicine education
    • Previous administrative role in a family medicine residency program
    • Provide ambulatory and inpatient care
    • Advanced knowledge of clinical ultrasound use in musculoskeletal medicine and experience in procedural training for fellows and residents
