DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical and office support to the Cambria County Maintenance Office to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. Duties include typing various clerical documents such as letters, vouchers, memos, meeting minutes, and agendas; proofreads and uses own judgment to properly correct grammar and format to department rules and standards. Answers and directs incoming phone calls, acts as receptionist/radio dispatcher during winter months, and responds to or directs inquiries appropriately. Initiates and maintains records on operator certification, acts as travel arranger making travel accommodations for all county employees, completes and submits expense reports, as well as prepares paperwork for Risk and Insurance Management claims for outside customers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
