As The Manager, Project/Program Management plays a pivotal role in driving excellence in pipeline project execution as a member of the Project Excellence Center (PEC). This individual will lead strategic initiatives that enhance governance, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D and portfolio management. The role requires strong project management expertise and the ability to influence enterprise-wide process maturity. This position is on-site in Fort Worth, Texas and in this role a typical day will include:

  • Lead PEC initiatives including governance framework implementation, project execution support, and best practice sharing.
  • Develop and maintain standardized project management methodologies, templates, and tools (e.g., critical path, risk management).
  • Drive continuous improvement through iterative updates to processes and systems.
  • Facilitate strategic engagement forums to promote alignment and knowledge exchange.
  • Collaborate with IT and business partners to assess and enhance collaboration platforms.
  • Support onboarding and learning initiatives in partnership with the Learning and Engagement team.
  • Monitor performance metrics and contribute to PEC's long-term sustainability and scalability.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project and portfolio management within a complex, cross-functional environment. Medical device or pharma experience preferred.
