Linen Technician Lead

General Description:

Under general supervision, responsible for the distribution of linen and for assuring that supplies are available in an appropriate condition when needed by a user department.

• Responsible for maintaining par levels of linen by managing linen items to meet stock requirements.
• Ensures accuracy of items ordered versus items received in department.
• Rotates and inspects linen for compromises in quality.
• Ensures that labels are accurate, legible, and exist on all carts and shelves for linen.
• Closely monitors cart inventory levels, pulling excess linen from returning carts.
• Makes needed cart and shelf revisions according to procedure.
• Supervises linen technologist assigned to facility.
• Responsible for timely and accurate processing operations of linen room.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: 5 years of experience as a linen technician required.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: None required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must have basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Must have good communication skills for establishing effective working relationships with staff and customers.
