Facilities Management (FM) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Historic Facilities Coordinator to support the department's goal of providing high quality, cost-effective, and reliable services to University Central Grounds Zone customers and residents. The Historic Facilities Coordinator partners to provide stewardship of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the prestigious Rotunda and Academical Village, as well as a dense footprint of active educational buildings. As part of the Central Grounds Zone team, this role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance within the University's historic facilities. The role ensures that all work aligns with historic preservation standards while meeting the functional needs of the buildings and their occupants. This position plays a key role in maintaining the quality, safety, and reliability of services provided to the University community, combining modern maintenance practices with historic preservation principles to sustain and enhance the University's historic infrastructure.\ Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic, and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, FM is responsible for the daily operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure, and grounds, as well as other University-owned and leased properties.
